What to Expect
A cleanse from this century. 

​Certified Holistic Health Coach Sharon will guide you through the 21-day cleanse process, making it easy and uncomplicated. No supplements. No insanely restrictive food regime. We'll start on April 17th (the day after Easter) and finish up on May 7th (Yoga Brunch Day)!

Week 1 | Cleanse Prep & Vision Board

THIS WEEK, YOU PREPARE FOR SUCCESS.

Don't forget to answer the question, "How do I want to feel?" This week, you prepare to feel good – as you define it. Your workbook and program guide will help you get clear and visualize how you want to feel after the cleanse.

Use this time to begin reducing caffeine, sugar, alcohol and other toxins from your routine and figure out what to eat. Review the recipe book and use the shopping list to gather ingredients and make your meal plan.

Get acclimated with the Awaken 21 community on Facebook. Ask lots of questions and connect with other cleansers, get tips, suggestions and encouragement...have fun with the tribe!

Why are you doing this? You'll create a vision board. Let that be part of your process for visualizing how you want to feel. Surrounding yourself with things that make you happy to create a great support system at home!

Week 2 | Cleanse & Detox

THIS WEEK, YOU ARE SUCCESS.

Let the inner glow work begin! With a little prep work in the kitchen, you are set up for success to make great choices this week. You will eat real, whole, delicious foods. No deprivation, but preparation! Completely removing what does not serve and nourish your body, mind and soul. 

I will provide recipe highlights and inspirational quotes in our Facebook group, along with helpful tips to stay on track. If you are into yoga or open to trying it, check out my daily yoga postures posts to help with your detox! What works for you? Just let me know and I'll provide the kind of support you need most.

We are putting our new knowledge and our recipes into action this week! Use a journal during this time to record how you feel. This is not just about your physical body, but gaining a clearer understanding of your life and areas you'd like to focus.

Week 3 | Real Life Transition

​THIS WEEK, YOUR SUCCESS GETS REAL!

It is not our intention to be in a constant state of cleansing, so we will ease out of the cleanse and slowly back to real life....just in time for Thanksgiving! Remember how you are feeling now and maybe choose to leave some toxins behind for good. Listen to your body - what is it asking for? Continue this nourishing lifestyle longer if desired. Our goal is that you will feel so good, you just might want to make the full-time switch! 

You will also have the option to schedule 30 minutes with Sharon for your private one-on-one coaching to help make it stick. You are taking your success to the streets so grab every resource you can!

FAQs

What are the dates of the cleanse?

April 17th - May 7th - we'll finish up just in time for you to enjoy Yoga Brunch!

Will I starve?
 
Not a chance! Our goal is to nourish in all the right places. You will eat satisfying and delicious foods, including seasonal soups, stews and vegetables that will support and help reduce inflammation in the body. Foods that are easy to digest.
 
Will there be special ingredients or supplements required for this cleanse?
 
You will be able to buy your food at your regular grocery store or farmer's market. We will give some recommendations for herbs, supplements and superfoods to enhance the detoxification process. These are not required but highly recommended. Examples include super green powder, plant based probiotics and optional herbs to nourish your kidneys and adrenals.
 
Can I do this cleanse while I work all week?
 
Absolutely! We recommend that you set aside a few hours on the weekend to prepare a few dishes. This will make it very easy to follow the protocol and it sets you up for success. If you are able to prepare your food as you go, that is even better. Past clients have made fewer commitments, gone to bed earlier and scheduled me-time. Most importantly, ask for support from your spouse, friends, neighbors and children. Get a friend or neighbor to sign up with you. This way the two of you can trade off food preparation and keep meals interesting. This is also a great way to receive additional support!
 
Will I experience any side effects? How will I feel?
 
How you’ll feel on this cleanse depends largely on what you’re eating now. If you consume sugar, processed foods and caffeine on a daily basis, you may have a period of withdrawal that could include headache, irritability, fatigue and cravings. This is a good sign! Toxins are being released from your body. It will pass generally in a few days. Most people feel great, have better sleep and more energy than they’ve had in years.
 
Will the cleanse make me frequent the bathroom?
 
Everyone has different bowel habits. Some people eliminate 2-3 times per day, while others eliminate less frequently. The cleanse is very gentle and not designed to make you run constantly to and from the restroom.
 
Do I need to have a special blender? I do not own a Vitamix or a juicer.
 
No, you do not need a Vitamix or any fancy equipment. Your regular blender will do. You will not need a juicer, either. 
 
How will I know what to do?
 
You will get a step-by-step, day-by-day plan. There are many recipes to choose from so you can decide what you like. If you want a menu that is already laid out, that option is there for you, too.
 
How will I get the support? 
 
We will have an exclusive Facebook group where cleansers can share their journeys and receive support from Sharon and other cleansers. should you get stuck or have questions, I am available to you via email!
 
The dates of the cleanse do not work for my schedule but I still want to join, what can I do?
 
Sign up anyway. You can do this cleanse at your leisure. You will still be receiving the emails and can follow the discussion via the Facebook group.
 
When will I receive the materials? I am very busy and need to plan ahead.
 
I will send you all the material (protocol, sample menus, recipes) before the cleanse starts to give you time to read through and do your food shopping and preparations.
 
Will I lose weight?
 
First ask yourself, "How do I want to feel?" People often lose weight following a protocol like this, although everyone is different and nothing can be guaranteed. Sometimes there are more complex issues that may need some personalized attention. However, you will look better, have more energy and, as you go through the program, your skin will be clearer. Isn’t that worth something, too? Remember, excess weight is waste. Once you get rid of some of the waste the weight will start to go with it.
 
I love coffee, alcohol, chocolate, sweets, carbs, etc. I am afraid I will not be able to stick to the plan.
 
I will give you suggestions on what you can drink instead of coffee and how to gently reduce your coffee (sugar, alcohol) intake prior to the cleanse. Many people in the past were surprised to find out that it was much easier to stop their daily java habit than they thought. 
 
What about exercise? I am training for a marathon. Can I do this cleanse? 
 
It depends on your training schedule and the date of your event. You can do the cleanse and you might be in better shape to perform. Most of you might FEEL like doing something more restorative and gentle like yoga or tai chi.
 
I am not sure if I can do this cleanse. I have never cleansed before. 
 
Yes, you can. Almost everyone can do a gentle cleanse like this. I have created this cleanse in a way that is doable for anyone and I will be there supporting you every step of the way. 
 
Are there additional costs?
 
No. With your payment, you will receive the handbook, recipes and items listed above. Everyone enjoys different flavors, so you are responsible for choosing and buying your food and any optional supplements.
